Coates have been involved in the printing inks industry for over 100 years (founded in 1877) and have been involved in the PCB industry for almost 50 years. We were the first to launch solder and etch resists in 1961 and have had a dedicated PCB division since the early 1980's. Coates are part of the printing industry giant Sun Chemical. Sun Chemical itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese Dainippon Ink & Chemicals Group who are one of the largest suppliers of resins to the PCB industry.
