XV1600 FLEXIBLE DIELECTRIC INKS

*Screen defined dielectric layers for use in the construction of flexible circuits and keypad membranes. They are UV curing so have 100% solids content. This product range offers good dielectric and insulation properties and humidity resistance as well as offering a protective coating against environmental concerns (such as copper oxidisation).

*The dielectric range is recommended as a protective insulating layer over PTF conductive tracks (such as those printed with Coates Carbon or Silver inks)

*They can also be used as an insulating bridge when printing crossovers with one of Coates conductive inks.

*Insulation Resistance @ 500Vdc .is 2.5 x 109 ohm

*Dielectric Strength is 800 kV cm-1

*Dielectric Constant @ 10² Hz. Is 6-7 (loss factor 1.6%) *altering film thickness can change the resisistivity. Double coating can greatly increase insulation properties but flexibility of the finished circuit will be reduced.

*Most grades of polycarbonate and treated polyester film substrate are compatible with these dielectric inks. Heat stabilised treated polyester is particularly recommended. Since they are UV curing they can be used with most temperature sensitive substrates. The dielectric inks cure to form a tough flexible coating. It should be noted that the inks are not HASL resistant.
