A completely new alternative to screen washing is just being launched by Coates Screen. This novel approach for the screen printer comprises two concentrates which, when mixed with water, make a single cleaning solution. The solution effectively replaces conventional screenwash, as well as stain remover and degreaser. Appropriately enough, Coates Screen is calling the new cleaner ‘EasyClean’, and claims significant savings in time and energy use, as well as a more pleasant working environment.

The single step EasyClean process uses high flashpoint biodegradeable materials that are neither harmful nor irritant, so that its use is completely free of COSHH control. This replaces what must have been one of the most unpleasant tasks in the printshop, and simplifies cleaning material inventories and practices.
