Screen stretching is becoming an
increasingly important service to offer. As mesh quality and
consistency of tension become more and more significant in high quality
work, and particularly in four-colour process printing, the investment in
efficient, safe and reproducible stretching points much more to sourcing
from reputable, well equipped outlets. Latest news is that Coates Screen
in France is completing the integration of France Ecrans, the screen
stretching and preparation company based in St Etienne.
The two companies have co-operated closely in recent
years and have built up an enviable reputation for the quality of their
screen stretching services.
The acquisition enables Coates to offer a broad,
locally based service to customers in the region. Laurent Ghillebaert,
General Manager of Coates Screen in France, commented 'This acquisition
reconfirms Coates' commitment to the French screen printing industry
generally. It is very much in line with the company's policy of growth by
offering world class service from a network of local business support
units'. The new local organisation, now known as Coates Screen, St
Etienne, began operations from the premises in December.
