Automated Screen Stretching - All Part of the Service

The first of Coates Screenıs new automated screen stretching machines has been commissioned at the UK companyıs Central Screen Supplies facility at the Bardon location, in the presence of none other than Marcel Grünig and Hugo Gmur. The innovative Grünig G 260 is designed with the CD industry in mind, although it has uses elsewhere where frame sizes and the nature of the work are suitable. It has the ability to stretch and glue 9 CD frames at once, using two computer controlled stretching tables. As soon as the specified tension has been achieved, the adhesive is delivered automatically by a robot gluing arm. The combination with Sefarıs PCF mesh is extremely powerful; it ensures the UK stretching service can supply CD screens of a regular and consistent standard, to the very highest quality. Other investment at the unit includes new sandblasting equipment, for improved frame preparation, degreasing and cleaning, making it the UKıs most advanced and productive commercial mesh stretching unit.
