Coates Screen has initiated a project to pursue ISO 14001
registration of its environmental management system.
 The project will focus its efforts on the two base factories in St. Charles, IL and East Rutherford,
NJ. There has been a worldwide initiative to register all the principal manufacturing
groups and registration has been completed at Coates UK and Coates GmbH. The ISO 14001 standard describes an environmental management system that is
compatible with the ISO 9001 system already in effect and it shares many of the elements of that standard. Preliminary work has been completed and
certification is planned for the first quarter of 2001. Coates Screen will join only a handful of companies registered in the USA. For more information
